APPLICATION OF THE METHODS OF COHERENT OPTICS AND HOLOGRAPHY TO THE PROBLEMS OF ANTENNA ENGINEERING AND DATA PROCESSING,

Abstract

The article examines the possibilities of applying the methods of coherent optics and, in particular, of holography to the problems of antenna engineering and data processing. With the aid of the methods of coherent optics it is expedient to do the optical simulation of antennas, the restoration of the radiation patterns of antennas by the measurements of the field in Fresnel region, etc. In the realization of a system with a synthesized aperture the use of holography principles proves to be the most natural. The application of the methods of holography and matched optical filtration for image discrimination is especially effective. (Author)
