DESIGN OF A CROSS-POWER SPECTRAL DENSITY ANALYSIS FACILITY.

Abstract

Experimental efforts of the Servo Control Studies Task require the availability of a cross-power spectral density analysis facility. Data for control system equipments in field operation is recorded on magnetic tape and processed on the facility to produce spectral plots. The resultant spectral plots are utilized in experimental efforts to improve servo control system evaluation techniques. This report describes a cross-power spectral density analysis facility recently completed in an in-house development for the Servo Control Studies Task. The design of the facility described proved to be a practical means of mechanizing the equation involved in the computation of required spectral quantities. (Author)
