DUCTILE TO BRITTLE TRANSITION OF SINGLE PHASE SOLIDS.

Abstract

The report presents the results of a study of the role of slip character in the ductile-to-brittle transition of single phase ferrite. FeCo-2%V and Fe-V were used for this study. The report contains an evaluation of the changes in slip character brought about by changes in heat treatment, deformation temperature, solute content, and microstructure. (Author)
