TACTICS: A THREE-BODY, THREE-DIMENSIONAL INTERCEPT SIMULATION PROGRAM

Abstract

TACTICS is a computer program written in FORTRAN IV which mathematically simulates the dynamics of flight in three-dimensional space of as many as three vehicles simultaneously. The purpose of this Memorandum is to acquaint prospective users with the capabilities and basic theory of the program and to serve as a reference manual for those who wish to use the program. The first part of the Memorandum contains the description and theory of operation and is oriented toward those with a mathematical or technical background. The second part is concerned with how to use the program, i.e., how to provide input data, select options, and develop a flight program.
