THE EGO-IDEAL AND CLINICAL ACTIVITY: AN INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF A FORMAL EXPLICATION OF A CLIENT'S EGO-IDEAL ELEMENTS ON STUDENT WORKERS' ORIENTATION TO THE CLIENT.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to examine some of the factors influencing the nature of the casework relationship. Specifically, this was an investigation of the influence on workers' clinical activity of knowledge of a client's ego-ideal operations. An expansion of knowledge about this dimension of the casework relationship is meant to augment existing considerations of ego-supportive treatment procedures. (Author)
