COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR RADIATION, RECEPTION, AND SCATTERING BY LOADED STRAIGHT WIRES,

Abstract

Computer programs are presented and described for analyzing the electromagnetic behavior of straight thin wires with arbitrary excitation and loading. Current distributions, field patterns, and input impedances are determined for radiation problems where the feed voltages and the positions of the feed points along the wire are known. Current distributions, bistatic radar cross-section patterns, and received power are computed for loaded straight wires in a known incident field. Also, one of the programs handles the pattern synthesis problem for wires with multiple excitations in that desired pattern characteristics are related directly with required feed voltages. (Author)
