DEGRADATION OF POLYMER CHAINS DURING AN INDUCTION PERIOD OF INHIBITED OXIDATION,

Abstract

In the present paper, the process is studied of the breakdown of polymer chains of polypropylene during its oxidation in the presence of strong antioxidants (IH). The antioxidants were (2,2'-methylene-bis(4-methyl-6-t-butylphenol) (biphenol), 2,2'-thio-bis(4-methyl-6-t-butylphenol) (thiobiphenol), and N-phenyl-N'-cyclohexyl-n-phenylenediamine (diamine).
