METHOD OF OBTAINING SILICATE PAINTS,

Abstract

Silicate paints can be prepared from high-modulus silicate of potassium, fillers, diluents, and pigments. The quality of the paints is improved by using as additives potassium salts of napthenic acids, derived from petroleum refining, and/or salts of synthetic fatty acids containing from 16 to 28 carbon atoms in a molecule.
