SWITCHED ARC-TYPE AND SPHERICAL ANTENNA ARRAYS,

Abstract

The influence of the discrete disposition of radiators and switched phase selection on the radiator characteristics of highly-directional arc and spherical radiator arrays is discussed. Formulas are derived to evaluate charges in antenna radiation patterns. The advantages of discrete and switched antennas over corresponding linear antennas are clarified.
