OPTIMUM AGE REPLACEMENT IN THE BIVARIATE EXPONENTIAL CASE.

Abstract

A system is assumed to contain a pair of units operating in parallel. A pair of units need not be replaced immediately upon the first failure, but both units in the pair are to be replaced (or repaired) at the same time. An optimum age replacement policy is found for the case in which the pair has a bivariate exponential life distribution. (Author)
