MOTION OF AIRCRAFT WITH LIFTING AIRFOILS ABOVE A ROUGH WATER SURFACE.

Abstract

The problem of the steady motion of a high-speed vehicle with lifting airfoils flying above a rough water surface is discussed under the assumption of regular, cylindrical low-amplitude waves, the direction of the wave-creast coinciding with the spanwise plane of the vehicle. The critical conditions for safe operation of such aircraft are defined. (Author)
