COHERENCE PROPERTIES OF ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS.

Abstract

The purpose of this contract was to study a number of areas that require the use of higher-order coherence and correlation functions. Research was performed in the following areas: (1) Determination of the statistical properties of static electric and elastic fields in a random medium; (2) Study of the propagation of the second and fourth-order coherence functions in a random medium; (3) Quantum field formulation of the scattering of partially coherent radiation.
