SENTINEL POWER PLANT SYSTEMS EFFECTIVENESS FINAL TECHNICAL REPORT FOR THE CONTRACT PERIOD.

Abstract

Results of analysis of data from the OCE Data Bank and the exercise of the Sentinel power plant availability simulation model are presented. Procedures used in developing groups of power system data for the model are discussed. Date group categories, to provide failure and repair parameter values, are listed, together with their individual parameters. System configurations assumed for the exercise are the MSR, Seheme-One power plant conceptual design with diesel engine, aircraft gas turbine, and industrial gas turbine prime movers. Comparative results, with one and two standby modules installed, are given. Current preventive maintenance policies, startup and standby failure rates, and repair and maintenance facility resources were all considered. (Author)
