COMPUTER/SIMULATION STUDY OF AIR DERIVED SEPARATION ASSURANCE SYSTEMS IN MULTIPLE AIRCRAFT ENVIRONMENT.

Abstract

The report reexamines, in the light of present understanding, earlier concepts and conclusions reported in the three interim reports. The best current answers to the problems posed by the program objectives are presented. In addition, some important remaining problems are identified and, where possible, a new course of action that seems promising is recommended. Significant among these is the new light and new emphasis on collision avoidance afforded by the upcoming changes to ATC.
