SIMULTANEOUS TESTS FOR EQUALITY OF LATENT ROOTS AGAINST CERTAIN ALTERNATIVES.
Abstract
The authors proposed procedures for testing for equality of latent roots of matrices against some restricted alternatives when the latent roots of the associated random matrices have certain distributions. The random matrices considered are (i) Wishart matrix (ii) (S sub 1) (S sub 2) superscript (-1) (iii) matrix connected with MANOVA and (iv) matrix associated with canonical correlations; here S sub 1 and S sub 2 are independently distributed central Wishart matrices.
