GLASS FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC PRESSURELESS TIRE

Abstract

A process was developed to produce a preliminary model of a 7.00 x 16 glass fiber reinforced plastic pressureless tire by filament winding. Several tire configurations were wound, and tested statically and dynamically on an indoor wheel. According to the author, the feasibility of this type of tire was demonstrated.
