PROSIM V INSTRUCTOR MANUAL.

Abstract

A production system simulator has been developed which is capable of simulating a wide variety of realistic manufacturing environments. The simulator is used as an aid in teaching the concepts of designing production control systems and as a research vehicle for investigating various aspects of control theory for production systems. The report contains the instructor manual which explains to the instructor how the simulator works, how it can be used to bring a dynamic experience into a production control system design course, how to generate problems, and how to administer its use. Included are four complete problems, a method for checking the local installation of the simulator and a complete listing of all source programs. (Author)
