INFRARED DETECTORS, LASER TECHNOLOGY AND SIGNAL PROCESSING.

Abstract

Contents: Photoelectric detection; Radian gain profiles in a CO2 amplifier; CO2 laser plasma studies; Raman scattering; Signal processing; Noise in optical detection; and Semiconductor noise investigations using microwaves. Major strides have been made in the area of the understanding of the failure mode of sealed CO2 lasers, in the understanding of photocathode formation process and the measurement of gain profiles in CO2 laser tubes.
