VERTICAL LANDING AND TAKEOFF AIRCRAFT,

Abstract

The book is devoted to new types of flying craft -- vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (VTOL). These aircraft make it possible to obviate the need for awkward and vulnerable airfields and can carry out rapid and sweeping flight maneuvers. They also mean that hauling of passengers and cargo in local airlines can be done with greater efficiency and more economically. (Author)
