THE FERMI SURFACE AND DELTA (K) OF SUPERCONDUCTING Nb.

Abstract

Examination of available tunneling data from junctions oriented on single crystal niobium, shows that the observed superconducting energy gap values are grouped non-randomly in K-space. These groupings suggest a relationship between delta (K) and Fermi surface topology, and may suggest a significant role for phonon anisotropy. (Author)
