COORDINATE CONVERSION TECHNIQUES FOR USE WITH A CORRELATION RADIO INTERFEROMETER,

Abstract

The radio interferometer can be operated in a quadrature mode such that information on both signal amplitude and phase can be obtained in terms of orthogonal coordinates X and Y. Techniques for the conversion of this data to polar coordinates are reported and the design of a servo-computer presently used in the UNH/AFCRL radio interferometer is described in detail. (Author)
