APPLICATION OF THE THIN-LAYER CHROMATOGRAPHY METHOD FOR SEPARATION OF FERROCENE DERIVATIVES,

Abstract

Conditions are developed for separating ferrocene derivatives on aluminum oxide in a thin layer and for determining the retention times, R(f) for these compounds. Preparative thin-layer chromatography was used to separate eight acetylene derivatives of ferrocene, of which six have not been described in the literature. These included: (1-ethoxy-1-methylpropynyl)ferrocene, 1-acetyl-1'-(1-hydroxyl-1-methylpropynyl)ferrocene, and 1-benzoyl-1'-(1-hydroxy-1-phenylpropynyl)ferrocene. (Author)
