THE EVALUATION OF EXPERIMENTAL FABRICS AS ALTERNATES FOR STANDARD WOOL FABRICS

Abstract

The report presents an examination of the effects of fiber denier and staple length on yarn diameter and fabric thickness of blends; and an examination of the thermal resistance of several four layer cold weather assemblies by the cold wind tunnel technique. Also, a method for comparing the comfort value of experimental shirts on human subjects was evaluated.
