SYNTHESIS OF ASYNCHRONOUS SEQUENTIAL LOGIC CIRCUITRY BASED ON INERTIAL AND PRIMITIVE SUBCIRCUITS,

Abstract

The synthesis of a sequential circuit that performs specified transformations under both static and dynamic conditions is considered. A table of steps is worked out. In most cases, simplifications that reduce the circuit cost are possible. Hazardous contests in the logic circuit can be precluded by introducing either special filters or structural redundancy. An example of synthesizing a sequential circuit from NOR or stable elements illustrates the method.
