CROSS-LINKED PVC WIRE INSULATION SYSTEMS,

Abstract

A broad spectrum of cross-linked PVC INSULATING AND JACKETING SYSTEMS CAN BE OBTAINED BY VARYING COMPOUND FORMULATIONS AND ELECTRON BEAM EXPOSURE. A key performance characteristic of PVC INSULATION, DEFORMATION AT HIGH TEMPERATURE, HAS BEEN MARKEDLY ALTERED BY IRRADIATION CROSS-LINKING TO EXTEND THE USEFUL RELIABLE UPPER SERVICE TEMPERATURE LIMIT OF PVC SYSTEMS. Cross-linked PVC insulated wire and cable products are available in a variety of types for various applications and can be tailored to meet stringent combinations of design parameters at a competitive cost with many other engineered solutions.
