THE EFFECTS OF ADAPTIVE STEPPING CRITERION ON TRACKING PERFORMANCE: A PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION.

Abstract

The work effort constitutes a preliminary investigation of several important factors in the design and implementation of adaptive training research. Specifically, the effects of using various adaptive stepping criteria upon performance were studied. Comparisons of adaptive and non-adaptive training techniques were also made. Recommendations for a follow-on phase of this work effort have been made on the basis of the findings of this first study. (Author)
