NUMERICAL PROGRAM AND EXAMPLES FOR DIFFRACTION OF SHOCK BY WINGS,

Abstract

The paper is intended to be a supplement for and should be used in conjunction with 'Diffraction of Shock Wave by Moving Thin Wing', L. Ting and M. Gunzburger, AFOSR-69-2814 TR. The numerical program used to determine the pressure is listed and various aspects of it are discussed. An extensive number of examples are given for the pressure on simple and composite symmetric thin wings. The lift on simple triangular wings with supersonic leading edges is also determined.
