METHOD FOR INCREASING HEMAGGLUTINATING AND INFECTIVE ACTIVITY OF A NUMBER OF ARBOVIRUSES IN TISSUE CULTURE,

Abstract

The dependence was established of the hemagglutinating activity of a number of arboviruses on the volume of supporting medium of tissue culture. A method is proposed for increasing the hemagglutinating activity of viruses by means of enrichment of the cultural fluid with hemagglutinins by carrying out a number of successive passages. It was demonstrated that with the help of this method it is also possible to increase the infectious and antigenic activity of viruses. (Author)
