COMBUSTION CHAMBER HYDRAULIC ANALYSIS,

Abstract

A proposed method for the hydraulic calculation of combustion chambers is based on the fact that the chamber resistance is composed of local resistances created under isothermal conditions, i.e., purely hydraulic resistance and that resulting from combustion. The flow of jets in the chamber is considered to be a flow in parallel ducts. Losses in any duct consist of pressure losses at the individual sections in the duct. The study consists of two parts: (1) a study of the resistance of a combustion chamber and its elements, and (2) the hydraulic calculation method. The considered parameters, formulas, and calculation results are presented in tabulated form. (Author)
