ACCELERATED KILN DRYING OF PRESURFACED 1-INCH NORTHERN RED OAK.

Abstract

The study represents the initial step in applying a number of previous scientific findings to bring about a major improvement in the kiln drying of oak. Therefore, the paper reviews some of the most pertinent background in detail and fully describes the study itself. General recommendations for full application of the results cannot be given until other aspects of the research are completed. Suggestions are given, however, for those who are presurfacing northern red oak. (Author)
