Abstract

The basic operation of hydraulically-actuated gyro-stabilized gun platforms for use in tanks is described. These units permit tank weapons to be employed accurately while tanks operate at high speeds over uneven terrain. A diagram is included to show the basic components of the systems stabilized in the horizontal and vertical planes. (Author)
