THE ELECTRONIC SENSOR. VOLUME I,

Abstract

The electronic sensor is defined according to Mil-Std-1326 as 'Circuitry and related hardware located within the prime equipment for the purpose of providing a suitable test signal for the automatic test equipment (ATE) ...'. This report reflects the state-of-the-art and present availability of such sensors by an analysis of the special characteristics of the electronic sensor and by providing a collection of more than 250 individual sensor data sheets (both specially developed and standard off-the-shelf items) with descriptions and many block and circuit diagrams. Special consideration is given to sensors which meet the requirements of Mil-Std-1326 but the report is not limited to such sensors. To help the designer to select suitable sensors, sensor tabulations according to parameters and ranges are provided. (Author)
