TESTS OF COORDINATE INDEPENDENCE FOR A BIVARIATE SAMPLE ON A TORUS.

Abstract

Blum, Kiefer and Rosenblatt (1961) considered tests of coordinate independence of a bivariate sample in the plane based on the sample distribution function. In this paper the problem is considered with the plane replaced by a torus.
