DESIGN GUIDE FOR HYDROSTATIC AXISYMMETRIC COMPLIANT-SURFACE THRUST BEARINGS.

Abstract

The design guide presents parameters for a hydrostatic circular thrust bearing with an elastomer-coated surface. Use of the design charts is illustrated by eight examples. Recess pressure, displacement, lubricant flow, and bearing stiffness are the design parameters of particular interest.
