FACTORS AFFECTING THE BEHAVIOR OF SHARKS.

Abstract

A summary is given of research conducted from 1959 to 1969, most of which has been published, on (1) behavior of sharks in their natural environment, (2) studied of sensory capabilities in olfaction, gustation, vision and hearing, and (3) studies of the lateralis system, including distribution, morphology, innervation and function of lateral line organs, pit organs, and ampules of Lorenzini.
