INFLUENCE OF SPOILERS ON THE AERODYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF A WING AND A SOLID OF REVOLUTION,

Abstract

The results are presented of experimental investigations of the effect of vortex generators on the aerodynamic characteristics of streamlined bodies. Qualitative results are obtained which confirm the possibility of stabilizing the intact flow around a wing at large angles of attack. The results of an experiment on the flow around bodies of revolving vortex generators are presented. Coefficient of a revolving body on the Reynolds number for various conditions of flow are given.
