THE USE AND ACCURACY OF THE EMERY SETTLING TUBE FOR SAND ANALYSIS.

Abstract

The accuracy of the Emery Settling Tube for the analysis of sand particles was investigated. The method is more rapid than is dry sieving, and it gives equivalent, or settling, diameters rather than geometric diameters. Results are discussed.
