WIND SET-UP AND WAVES IN SHALLOW WATER.

Abstract

A program of observation and study of wind set-up and wave action in inland waters has been undertaken by the Corps of Engineers as a part of a general program of engineering investigations related to the design, construction, and operation of flood control and navigation projects involving levees and channel improvements on lakes and major reservoirs. As an initial step in these studies, special observation stations have been established in Lake Okeechobee, Florida.
