ANALYTICAL APPROACHES AND APPLIED SOCIAL SCIENCES,

Abstract

The basic thesis of the paper is that some fusion between analytical approaches and social sciences is essential for successful application of either to social problems. Achievement of such a fusion is a difficult task, urgently requiring new teaching programs and institutional arrangements. Beyond some such fusion, significant contributions to better policymaking by systematic knowledge and structured rationalists require fargoing innovations in paradigms, which may best be realized through establishment of a new 'policy sciences' interdiscipline.
