A PORTABLE SOUND-MEASURING SYSTEM,

Abstract

The report describes a protable, battery-powered, sound-measuring set capable of recording underwater sound from 10 cps to 100 kcps. Either a high- or low-frequency hydrophone package is used with the system and transition from one to the other is simple and quickly effected. Approximately 5 minutes of recording time is available for data to 100 kcps and twice this if the data requirement does not exceed 50 kcps. (Author)
