APPLICATION OF THE EXTENDED KANTOROVICH METHOD TO THE BUCKLING OF RECTANGULAR PLATES OF VARIOUS ASPECT RATIOS.

Abstract

The buckling problem of clamped rectangular plates of different aspect ratios is solved by means of the extended Kantorovich method. Plates subjected to uniaxial and biaxial compression are both considered. The convergence of the iteration scheme is established and some of the obtained results compared with those available in the literature. (Author)
