ON THE ROLE OF THE RED-CHEEKED SUSLIK IN THE OMSK HAEMORRHAGIC FEVER (OHF) FOCUS IN NORTHERN KULUNDA,

Abstract

Blood from 112 gophers was examined by hemagglutination-inhibition against Omsk haemorrhagic fever virus in July 1966. Specific antibodies are found in the blood of 26.8% of animals. Only young animals have antibodies. The present paper reports about the susceptibility of gophers to Omsk haemorrhagic fever virus under experimental conditions. (Author)
