CLINICAL PICTURE OF OMSK HEMORRHAGIC FEVER (OHF) ASSOCIATED WITH EPIZOOTICS AMONG MUSKRATS,

Abstract

The clinical course of Omsk hemorrhagic fever (OHF) in people infected from sick muskrats both during hunting and in experimental work at the laboratory shows no significant differences. Slightly greater severity of the course is observed after laboratory infections which is manifested in greater frequency of the second wave of fever, bronchitis, bronchopneumonias and in more marked leukopenia and shifts to mononuclears in the leukocytic formula.
