THE ROLE OF HETEROTHERMIC ANIMALS IN THE CIRCULATION OF OMSK HEMORRHAGIC FEVER VIRUS,

Abstract

Blood from 242 fish of three species and from 111 frogs (Rana terrestris) was serologically examined to Omsk hemorrhagic fever virus in the natural focus of Omsk hemorrhagic fever in North Kulunda. Specific antibodies were detected by hemagglutination-inhibition test. There is a dependence of the increase in the number of antibodies on the temperature conditions under which cold-blooded animals live. (Author)
