VIROLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS ON BLOODSUCKING MOSQUITOES IN OMSK HEMORRHAGIC FEVER FOREST-STEPPE FOCI,

Abstract

Eight strains of virus of Omsk hemorrhagic fever (OHF) were isolated from Mansonia richiardii, Aedes excrucians and Aedes flavescens in the foci of OHF. Blood-sucking mosquitoes may be considered as a possible source of bird immunisation in the forest-steppe foci of OHF. (Author)
