THE LEG AND ITS TERMINOLOGY IN PARASITIFORM TICKS,
Abstract
The terminal podites of the legs of mites belonging to the order Parasitiformes are described differently by different authors. The present author suggests to preserve the terminology of tibia, tarsus, praetarsus, and to avoid other terms which are a result of misunderstanding or not a strict treatment of terminology.
