CALIBRATION OF RADIOMETERS IN ABSOLUTE RADIATION UNITS,

Abstract

A procedure is described for estimating the sensitivity of a radiometer to radiation characterized by any radiant value. The spectral and integral sensitivities of the radiometer and the relation between them are investigated. It is demonstrated that in some cases it is expedient to calibrate the radiometer in absolute units. A simplified formula is given for practical calculations as applied to radiometers operating in the 0.4-3.5 micron range. (Author)
