AN EXACT COMPARISON OF THE WAITINGTIMES UNDER THREE PRIORITY RULES,

Abstract

The waitingtimes of customers under three priority rules are compared. The first is the order of arrival rule. The second is the shortest processing time (within a generation) first and the third is longest processing time (within a generation) first. In particular the covariance matrix of the trivariate distribution of the equilibrium waitingtimes is obtained explicitly. (Author)
