STATIC CHARACTERISTICS OF A RADIAL GAS-DYNAMIC BEARING,

Abstract

A solution to the differential equation of pressure distribution in a lubricating layer is found in a class of intermediate solutions in compressibility number and coordinate space. Based on the solution for an infinite bearing, an approximate solution for a bearing with finite length is found. Analytical expressions for calculating the static characteristics of a bearing are derived. (Author)
