THE THERMAL REGIME OF A GAS LASER.

Abstract

The relationships between the wall temperature of a He-Ne laser tube and the generated power are examined. It is pointed out that the tube wall temperature can be increased by inhibiting heat transfer. This can be realized for example by placing the laser in an evacuated cavity with reflecting walls, in which case the tube wall temperature can reach 170 - 190 C. (Author)
